As the economy causes everyone to be more competitive, many more door dealers are seeking IDEA accreditation and obtaining certification of their technicians. A total of eight director positions will be filled during the 2011 election covering the following IDA Regions:

Region 3 – Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana,
   Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, West
   Virginia
Region 5 – Alaska, Washington, Oregon,
    Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, and all US
    possessions west of the continental
   United States
Region 6 – Virginia, North Carolina, South
    Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and all US
    possessions in the Caribbean
Region 10 – Canada
Region 11 – International
Region 12 – Mexico

EPA ANNOUNCES EXTENSION

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the extension of the certification and training deadline to October 1, 2010. Click here for additional information.

IDA is working with numerous associations including DASMA, the Window & Door Alliance, the National Association of Remodelers Institute, the National Glass Association, and the National Association of Home Builders to seek answers and solutions regarding compliance.

This is a new issue, many aspects of compliance remain in question.
