Each year at Expo time there are individuals who promote the availability of ‘special’ hotel room rates, or who claim that the IDA-provided block of rooms is not available. Don’t fall for their scams. The IDA encourages you to book directly with the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, the Expo headquarters hotel – 1-800-635-7711/Code #SIDA2R.

Did you know that the IDA must guarantee hotel rooms? Did you know that the hotel holds the IDA responsible for the room guarantee and that it can cost the association thousands of dollars if attendees don’t book directly with the hotel using the IDA Code? Thank you for supporting the IDA hotel, and take extreme caution with other offers. If you have any questions or concerns about an offer you receive from a scalper, please contact IDA directly at 1-800-355-4432.

IDA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

Without the support of IDA members, the IDA Scholarship Foundation would not have been able to award almost $800,000.00 in scholarships to association members. The Foundation has changed the lives of many people and assisted the IDA with its objective of enhancing education.

It is requested that you consider making a financial donation to the Foundation. It is a 501 c 3 Foundation so your contribution is an authorized tax deduction. Several members now contribute to the Foundation at Christmas or other holidays rather than providing gifts to customers and employees. Perhaps this is something you would want to consider.

The 2012 International Garage Door Exposition will be held in Las Vegas, May 9-12, and as is normal, exhibit space is being rapidly taken by the numerous product manufacturers and service providers.
